Nature center fundraises money to support their conservation efforts!

SERVPRO of Harlingen/San Benito's team supports the conservation efforts of the Weslaco Nature Center. The "Brew in the Woods" community event fundraises money to support native wildlife and promote community awareness and education of Rio Grande Valley biodiversity and ecological health. It is actually home to many native species, such as the Texas Tortoise, Texas Coral Snake, and Blended water snake. Staff explains the dangers that hunting poses on species population and the ecological web as a whole. The center teaches children and community members about protecting the native environment from invasive species, as well as the implications of invasive species. The center works to fosters a great sense of community and support. We also encourage you to visit your local nature center!
