Ensure that you have a fire safety plan and follow it!

As business owners and managers, it is our responsibility to implement safety procedures in the work place. This includes steps that can help to prevent commercial structural fires. Not only does this keep our staff and work team safe, but it also ensures the safety of our business space. 

Here is a list of tips:

1. Establish a fire safety preparedness plan and enforce this plan and related regulations. 

2. Replace and maintain safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers or alarms. 

3. Host a training and review this plan with your staff periodically. As well as when you have a new employee on board.

4. Regularly review and keep documentation of appliance maintenance in your business that can cause a fire. For example, electronic equipment and wiring.
